Air Showers
PrimaTec are pleased to offer as part of a range of equipment for health, safety and welfare, a range of air-showers. Air-showers are rapidly becoming one of the more popular methods of maintaining the integrity of laboratory areas which require a high degree of hygiene and ‘barrier’ separation / segregation between different areas of a laboratory.
The Air-Shower is highly durable and under all normal conditions should provide over 20 years of serviceable life when in regular use and maintained in accordance with the operation and maintenance manual, undertaken by trained and appointed engineers. (This excludes consumable parts having a finite life, and assumes reasonable care on behalf of users).
The control panel indicates whether the shower is 'in use', 'available' or at the 'end of cycle'. The control panel is user friendly and has a series of pre-defined programmes.
There are manual override facilities as well as Health and Safety interlocks in case of emergency. 'Emergency Stop' buttons are fitted both internally and externally. The overall design allows for ease of maintenance and cleaning, with added benefits such as vision panels and internal lights.
The recommended minimum air shower duration is 60 seconds, which will remove all dust, lint, allergens, fibres, hair, fur etc. from clothing. The 60 seconds exposure is appropriate for almost all clothing types likely to be used. Decontamination by the air-shower is achieved through high-velocity air jets that are kept above 30m/s throughout the entire cycle.
