In January PrimaTec co-hosted with the kind assistance of a major ‘industry’ organisation, an introduction and training day for the LOCUS laboratory management software programmes.

Predominantly focussing on the FACILITY package, but with reference to the other products (PHARM and Lab Tracks), the President and CEO of LOCUS Technology Inc gave an overview of the programme and answered questions for both existing users and other individuals considering the use of this software to improve the management and record keeping for their own organisations.

An afternoon session with ‘hands on’ practical experience being available, allowed participants to further explore the vast functionality possible with FACILITY, but also discover just how user friendly it can be after some basic testing!

The feedback PrimaTec received from existing users, persons who were already reviewing the software, plus some totally ‘new’ to the LOCUS products, was very encouraging. There remains considerable interest and subsequent requests have been received, that this platform of users and prospective users should become the basis of a regular Users Forum. With this ‘feedback’ the training day is judged to have been a great success.
