The OptiRAT has the same footprint and height as the OptiMICE, ventilates using the same connections and hoses, and maximizes parts interchangeably. With 42 rat cages arrayed in seven rows of six cages per row, the OptiRAT again sets a standard for animal density, animal comfort, user ergonomics, and overall utility. With the wide front face, visibility into cages is superior. Uses two standard OptiMICE water bottles and a 1.1 litre stainless steel feeder. Like the M.I.C.E. and OptiMICE systems, the OptiRAT uses the same patented ventilation technology, and continues the GREEN trend of zero electrical consumption with no motors or blowers. There are no allergens or odors from the OptiRAT rack. The OptiRAT is available with polycarbonate, amber polysulfone, or smoke polysulfone cages.
